Our new podcast site is w4gpodcast.mypodcast.com and our new blog is wanted4gaming.blogspot.com. See you there. Also, our new podcast name is Wanted 4 Gaming instead of Wanted For Gaming.
Switching Sites
• April 18th, 2009This is Gary from the Wanted 4 Gaming Podcast. We told you there was going to be big changes and this one may be the biggest one of them all. We are now switching podcast sites! Instead of wantedforgaming.podbean.com it is now http://w4gpodcast.mypodcast.com — Now what does this mean for you, the suscriber/listener?
It means:
A brighter, cleaner blog for us to give you episodes on. The same show you know and love is still on iTunes. We make money through advetising, which means we can do more things for the podcast, and a good podcast makes for a happy listener. No restrictions - We dont have a limit to our shows on MyPodcast, so this means we can have cleaner, more well produced and longer podcasts, something that I’ve wanted since the beginning for our show.
So remember from now on, we are at http://w4gpodcast.mypodcast.com , all of our past podcasts have been re-uploaded there and are ready to go for your listening enjoyment! Make sure you save this link, because a week from now I will be canceling this blog.
See you guys there and have a nice weekend.

Major Changes and Announcements
• April 13th, 2009Hey guys this is Gary from the Wanted For Gaming Podcast with some news of change going on around here. No, as some of you believe, we aren’t dead or anything. :/ We’ve just returned from Spring Break with fresh gaming news on our minds and are ready to share them with you in due time. But let’s stop beating around the bush and get to the real thing here. I’ve been doing some major research on our time off, listening to other podcasts on ideas of how to keep things fresh and interesting and have come up with a few retrospectives. First of all, our podcast has moved to Thursdays only, and most likely Saturdays for special episodes. This allows me to do 4 very important things: keep the show fresh and having new things to talk about instead of bum rushing topics in a scramble to stall show times, allow one season to run in a 12 week span instead of doing 20 episodes in 10 weeks flat which would be too much to keep up with, it lets our team to have extra time and ability to do real world things instead of having to sit at a comp for four nights a week, and lastly it allows me to make a better quality podcast allowing me to have time to fully edit and do whatever instead of having to paste together and release an episode due to deadlines. However, as a cope for this loss, our podcast is now extended to a mandatory minimum of 40 minutes.
Second, I realized our podcast is a little too formal and too news-like. I personally hate the news so I want the podcast to be user/listener friendly instead of being a blatant weekly gaming report. So in the next couple of weeks me and my team will be doing some experimenting with current free-topic discussions instead of timed reports from each of the team individually (usually 3 minute reports a piece).
Third and finally, I want to expand and better our podcast. For those listeners out there that actually give a damn about us and our amateur podcast, we thank you. We are slowly gaining support from the gaming community, but what we have now isn’t enough. Things are in the works now that by the summer we shall be fully functional with our show. We are looking into getting our 4th and possibly 5th podcast member into the mix, contacting people to make us a banner for the podcast for iTunes, which means when we do the podcast will be suspended from there for a week or two, we need to get our hands on some kind of original and royalty free opening music and we are also looking at advertisements and advancing our community support (i.e. Community Gaming Nights, Contests, and even maybe live podcasts by me and AJ every 2 Saturdays). As a suggestion to ourselves, we are also looking at upgrading our current status with PodBean or even get a real site.
There’s a lot we want and need to get done in the upcoming months. We may be able to accomplish all this by E3, and maybe not. We can do it, but only with your help. Give us feedback and suggestions at w4gpodcast@live.com. Also don’t forget to check us out at our new time here on Thursday nights. See ya soon.

• March 31st, 2009This weeks scheduled Monday episode is planned to be a very long one, clocking in at just about an hour to be exact. It isn’t just any other episode, its a special episode wrapping up the 2009 Game Developer’s Conference. Because of a tight schedule going on tonight with the podcast team, tonight’s episode may be delayed. What this means is that by delay I don’t mean by like an hour, it’s maybe more like 12-24 hours. Depending on when we free up some time then Tuesday will be the earliest its released and at the latest on Wednesday. Now for those of you thinking “well how are they going to give us a special episode then turn around and have to post another the next day,” then let me clarify. Since this episode is the length of almost 2 1/2 shows, there will be NO NEW EPISODE on Thursday. But trust me, what you will get in due time will be epic, enough.
